Flames Engulf Motorcycle On Side Of Sturbridge Road

STURBRIDGE (CBS) – A motorcycle was destroyed after it was engulfed in flames along the side of a Sturbridge road.

The motorcycle fire started on Route 131 at the intersection of Route 20 just before 10 a.m.

Sturbridge Police said the three-wheeled motorcycle, which was hauling a trailer, became fully engulfed in flames.

Both the driver and the passenger were uninjured.

The intersection was briefly closed while firefighters knocked down the flames.

Firefighters have initially determined that the flames started with a short circuit in the motorcycle's electrical system.
