DeflateGate Settlement Talks Continued Thursday Without Brady, Goodell

BOSTON (CBS) --  Tom Brady and Roger Goodell were not in court on Thursday, but lawyers for the NFL and NFLPA reportedly met privately and tried to work towards a DeflateGate settlement.

According to Reuters, lawyers for both sides briefly met with U.S. District Judge Richard Berman in federal court Thursday morning. The meeting lasted roughly two hours without reaching a settlement. Both sides declined to comment as they left court.

Berman has urged the two sides to reach a settlement on Brady's four-game suspension on their own on numerous occasions. On Wednesday, he grilled both sides in the first or two scheduled hearings on the matter.

No further hearings are scheduled for Friday. The settlement talks will return to court next Wednesday, August 19 in New York.
