Hot Take Police Arrest Bart Hubbuch, Cris Carter For Geno Smith Reactions

BOSTON (CBS) -- Geno Smith, the quarterback of the New York Jets, got coldcocked by a teammate on Tuesday. The incident left the quarterback with a broken jaw, an injury that will force him to be sidelined for the next six to 10 weeks.

The locker room altercation led to many folks laughing at the Jets and their constant state of dysfunction.

It also led to some scorching hot takes.

One take in particular from New York writer Bart Hubbuch caught the attention of the Hot Take Police.

Sound the siren, baby! Woo-woo!

Hubbuch was not alone on Hot Take Island. Hall of Fame receiver and ESPN analyst Cris Carter decided to criticize Geno Smith for putting himself in the position to get sucker-punched.

"I don't know what happened," Carter said, "but for me, it's a lack of leadership on Geno Smith's part that he would put himself in harm's way to get sucker-punched."

Sound. The. Alarm.
