Thousands Of Kraft Cheese Singles Cases Recalled Over Choking Hazard

NORTHFIELD, Ill. (CBS) -- Kraft is recalling thousands of cases of its individually-wrapped cheese slices because they could pose a choking hazard.

The company says 10 customers have complained about the packaging of certain Kraft Singles products, and there have been three reports of choking.

More Recall Info

A thin strip of the packaging can stick to cheese slices on the recalled products even after the wrapper is removed, which creates the choking risk.

Kraft says the recall includes 36,000 cases of Kraft Singles. Consumers can return the recalled boxes to the store for a full refund, or call 1-800-432-3101.
