Man Pulled From Manchester, NH Storm Drain

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) -- A man was freed from a storm drain in Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday afternoon.

A driver saw the man's fingers sticking up through the grate at the intersection of March and Cahill avenues shortly before 3 p.m.

The driver then called 911.

Firefighters spent about 12 minutes freeing the man from the 10-foot-deep pipe, which is two-feet wide and was filled with water at the time.

Fire chief Al Poulin says the man was hypothermic.

It's unclear why the 19-year-old was in the drain.

Police say no charges have been brought against the man.
