Paul Pierce 'Writes' Article Describing How DeAndre Jordan Saga Played Out

BOSTON (CBS) – Maybe Paul Pierce does know how to use emojis, after all.

It all started last week when the former Boston Celtics captain, who signed this offseason with former head coach Doc Rivers and the Los Angeles Clippers, tried to join in the social media fun during the DeAndre Jordan saga.

Jordan agreed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks early in the week before having a change of heart and considering a return to the Clippers.

Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons first tweeted an emoji of an airplane, indicating that he was going to fly to Texas to convince Jordan not to go back on his agreement to play in Dallas.

Soon after, Clippers guard J.J. Redick tweeted a car, forward Blake Griffin tweeted a plane, helicopter and car, and Chris Paul pieced together a pair of emojis to describe his banana boat.

Many in the NBA joined in on the fun, though Pierce seemed a bit confused.

The Truth tweeted a rocket ship, and was promptly mocked by the social media world because he tweeted a picture of an emoji rather than using an actual emoji.

As far as the signing itself, members of the Clippers reportedly locked themselves in Jordan's house and waited with him until after midnight, when he was able to sign a contract with Los Angeles.

On Saturday, Pierce used the Players's Tribune website to "write" an article jabbing himself.

The article is called "How It Went Down" and includes no actual words in the story.

Instead, Pierce uses clipart to describe how the Jordan situation played out, from the time he agreed to a contract with Dallas to his decision to return and play for the Clippers.

In between, the graphics describe the players arriving, playing cards, and eventually agreeing to a new contract.

The "article" comes to a conclusion with a sign that simply says "Truth," Pierce's patented nickname.
