Fire Officials: Man Seriously Hurt In Saugus Explosion

SAUGUS (CBS) -- Fire officials say a man was seriously hurt after some type of explosion occurred on Saturday night in Saugus.

First responders were called to Oak Point Road around 10 p.m.

The unidentified man suffered a hand injury. Investigators have not confirmed what caused the explosion.

The man, who is in his 20s, was MedFlighted to a Boston hospital.

The incident is under investigation by Saugus fire officials and the State Fire Marshal's Office.

No arrests have been made.

No additional information was immediately available.
