BOSTON (CBS) -- Did you know a Canadian goose can produce up to three pounds of poop per day?

Geese can be a major nuisance for people who like to enjoy the great outdoors.

So if you have a problem, who are you going to call?

A lot of businesses, including many golf courses here in Massachusetts call Len Ellis, and his business "Geese B Gone."

Ellis and his two Border Collies, Lynn and Flo, spend most days chasing geese off of people's property.

If you ever see Ellis and his two dogs at a park, chances are you'd think they were out for a stroll or swim. In reality, however, they're practicing their craft.

Some golf course will try anything short of a nine iron to get rid of geese, including coyote decoys, which Ellis says doesn't work.

"[Geese] can make quite a mess if you don't take care of it," said Ellis.

"The geese can always outmaneuver the dogs but they get tired of being harassed, and the dogs never give up," he said.

Ellis has 13 clients in Massachusetts, which include golf courses.

The Commonwealth also pays him to keep the geese off of the Esplanade and the land surrounding the Charles River.

The dogs get very close to the geese, even chasing them in the water. Incredibly, however, they are trained not to harm the geese.

Ellis puts 200 miles per day on his SUV and sometimes goes to the same location twice.

But he doesn't seem to mind.

"When someone says to you, 'gee you think theyll come back'? I hope so otherwise I wouldn't have a job."

Geese B Gone can be reached at 781-631-1675.
