Edgartown Police Officer Rescues Baby Deer From Traffic

EDGARTOWN (CBS) – Tales of deer wandering in the middle of traffic don't always have happy endings.

This one on Martha's Vineyard, however, was an exception.

Police in Edgartown posted on the department's Facebook page a pair of photos of a baby deer that had been rescued by Officer Jeffrey Trudel.

A driver called Edgartown police to report the baby deer was stuck in the middle of the road in traffic.

Trudel helped get the deer out safely, and into the hands of an expert who could properly care for the animal.
