Sandoval Benched For Using Instagram During Game
BOSTON (CBS) -- Don't expect Pablo Sandoval to be using social media during games anymore.
The Red Sox third baseman has been benched for Thursday night's game in Atlanta, punishment for using Instagram during Wednesday night's loss.
Sandoval liked two photos on Instagram during Boston's 5-2 loss on Wednesday, and is now paying the price. The third baseman owned up to his error on Thursday.
It's too bad for the Red Sox too, as Sandoval has been their best hitter as of late. Despite his struggles in the field, the third baseman is hitting .464 over the last week. He has two hits in each of his last five games, and is 6-for-12 with three doubles and three runs scored in the last three games against the Braves.
