Unresponsive Boy Pulled From Campground Pond In Critical Condition
WAREHAM (CBS) -- A 6-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from a campground pond in Wareham over the weekend.
Wareham police said they responded to Maple Park Campground at about 12:50 p.m. on Saturday for a reported water emergency.
When they arrived, an EMT-certified camper was performing CPR on the boy. It's not clear how long the boy was in the water before he was rescued by others in the area.
The boy is at a Boston-area hospital, and still in critical condition. He had his mother are from Middleboro, and were staying at the campground, police said.
