Police Investigating After 8 Students Appear On Hit List

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say three students at a New Bedford vocational-technical high school are temporarily banned after they were accused of creating a hit list.

Superintendent Director Linda Enos said in a statement Friday that a copy of the list has been obtained by school officials and a photo of it appeared on social media.

Authorities say eight students from Greater New Bedford Vocational Tech appeared on a list titled "people I'm killing."

Officials say the students are not allowed on school property until police complete their investigation and they will meet with the principal before a final judgment is made.

Officials say the parents of the students listed have been notified, but say they do not feel the threat was credible.

No charges have been filed.
