SWAT Team Responds To Hoax Weapons Call At Gloucester Motel
GLOUCESTER (CBS) – SWAT teams were called to a Gloucester motel, but the incident turned out to be a likely hoax.
Gloucester police said they received a weapons threat from a Back Shore motel around 9:30 a.m.
A regional SWAT team responded to the scene, but just after noon Gloucester police said there was "no credible threat to the public" and it was a "possible hoax."
A similar incident was reported in Stratham, N.H., on Friday night.
During that incident, police responded to an Irving Station after a hostage situation was reported. The call turned out to be a hoax.
