Accused Drunk Driver Crashes Into State Police Cruiser, Trooper Hurt
EASTON (CBS) – A Brockton man was charged with drunk driving late Monday night after he crashed into a State Police cruiser and injured a trooper.
State Police say the cruiser was stopped at a traffic light on Route 138 near the entrance to Stonehill College around 9 p.m. when it was struck from behind by a Pontiac G6.
The driver of the Pontiac, 26-year-old Luke Anderson of Brockton, was arrested by Easton Police after he allegedly failed a breath test and field sobriety tests.
He's charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and operating to endanger.
The trooper, Robert Bohn, was taken to Boston Medical Center, treated for minor injuries and released around 1 a.m.
State Police say Bohn's K-9 Wyatt was in the car at time of crash and appeared to be shaken up, but was not hurt.
Anderson was later released on bail.
He will be arraigned Tuesday in Taunton District Court.
