Nantucket Distributing Recalls Faulty Night Lights Sold At Christmas Tree Shops

NEW YORK (AP) — Nantucket Distributing Co. is recalling a line of night lights enclosed in a glass mason jar, saying the plastic around the base of the bulb can melt and create a risk of a burn.

The recall involves about 12,000 Mason Jar Night Lights. The jar encloses the 7-watt incandescent light bulb. The company said there were two reported incidents where the plastic around the base of the light bulb melted, though no injuries or property damage were reported.

Recall Information

The glass jars have clear raised letters that read "frutta del prato." They include products with model number DGL0915 and SKU 30732353, both of which appear on the price tag affixed to the product packaging.

The night lights were sold at Christmas Tree Shops, Christmas Tree Shops andThat! as well as andThat! retail locations from December 2014 through March 2015 for approximately $5.
