Sox Lineup In Need Of Shakeup: Jones Says Promote Castillo, Move Betts Down In Batting Order

BOSTON (CBS) - Thursday night means it's time for some Role Play on The Adam Jones Show's Game of Jones!

Here are the questions:

You are Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. What were your thoughts when you first heard that Robert Kraft was not going to appeal the team punishment for DeflateGate?

Jones as Brady: "I was disappointed. He didn't even mention my name in that six minute statement the other day in San Francisco. I know he's gone to bat for me with Peter King, I know he's gone to bat for me previously at just about every assembled press conference, but I'm still disappointed to hear that the organization is not going to fight this. The one thing I want to do is separate myself from this issue and this latest flare up. Apparently the Patriots don't want to do that. Apparently they are not willing to fight. I'm still weighing my options, but I'm going to be more willing to fight than Kraft. That's for sure."

You are Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels . . . how much did you know about DeflateGate?

Jones as McDaniels: "Quite a bit. We as a coaching staff are very detail-oriented, and we get a lot of credit for that, so yeah I understood what was going on on offense. I'm the right hand man to Bill Belichick, and I feel like I'm the coach-in-waiting, so they let me in on the trade secrets and what's really going on."

You are New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist. You allowed a half dozen goals the other night. What the hell happened?

Jones as Lundqvist: "I'm not superhuman. At some point I'm going to have a clunker here or there, this just so happened to be back-to-back clunkers. You know my track record in Game 7's. I think we're going to bounce back this series as a team, and I know me personally I'm going to bounce back."

You are Flip Saunders, the head coach/general manager/part-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves. You have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, and if you keep said player, you'll have the last three No. 1 overall picks on your roster. It's still a month away, but who are you taking No. 1?

Jones as Saunders:  "I'd be an idiot to not take Karl-Anthony Towns No. 1 overall. Jahlil Okafor is very gifted at the offensive end, but he can't play defense and he's out of shape. He was out of shape most of last year at Duke. I think he's a better version of Jared Sullinger, so Karl-Anthony Towns is more of a today's-NBA big man. He can stretch the floor a little bit, he certainly plays more defense than Jahlil Okafor, he shoots free throws better and he can clear out the lane for guys like Ricky Rubio."

You are Red Sox manager John Farrell. Specifically looking at the top five in your lineup, are you looking to change things up?

Jones as Farrell:  "Once Rusney Castillo comes up we are going to start shaking things up at the top of the lineup. It won't be [Friday], but it'll be for the upcoming road trip that starts Monday. By the time we hit the road, Castillo will be here and we will look to drop Mookie Betts in the order. He's hitting .236 with an OBP below .300, and we're almost two months into the season. We're looking to send a message to the offense like we did to the pitching staff when we fired Juan Nieves."
