Hundreds Attend Duckling Day Parade In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - Kids and adults were able to channel their inner duck at the Public Garden for the annual Duckling Day Parade on Sunday.
The Harvard Marching Band led children through the Boston Common to the garden and ending at the Make Way For Duckling statue.
Hundreds of families turned up to watch the parade, inspired by the children's book "Make Way For Ducklings."
Many children were dressed up in duck costumes.
One mom made her young son a costume by hand.
One girl was wrapped from head-to-toe in a bright yellow boa.
Amy Finn of Boston told WBZ NewsRadio's Kim Tunnicliffe that she brought her two kids and husband to celebrate Mother's Day with the ducklings.
"It's just an extra special way (to enjoy the day)," she said. "It's just so beautiful out here, and it's nice to have family and friends. It's very fun. It's a very cute tradition."
