Every dollar Fitzgerald raises counts as one vote. The two people who raise the most money will be named as the group's Man and Woman of the Year.

On Monday, Fitzgerald is making an appearance inside the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's student center from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

He will be signing cards, taking pictures and giving out bracelets to visitors who make a donation of $5 or more.

The Man of the Year competition continues until May 21.
