Toucher & Rich Hot Take Police: The Toastiest Tom Brady Takes In The World

BOSTON (CBS) -- Whenever news breaks, the race is on.

That race, of course, takes place among sports media members, who all scratch and claw to get their names spread around the country for their fiery hot takes.

And so unsurprisingly, when the Wells report came out on Wednesday, the sports media response was swift and strong.

Fortunately, the Toucher & Rich Hot Take Police are here to help sort through the weeds to find the hottest of hot takes.

"We've learned that people want to get noticed," Rich said. "And how do you get noticed? You come out with a hot take that's hotter than everyone else's hot take."

"Especially when it just happened," said Fred.

"Yes, before you've even read the first page of the report," said Rich.

The examples of the hot takes are plentiful.

Gregg Doyel, Indianapolis Star: "If I had to guess a number [for a Tom Brady suspension], I'd say half a season. I'd say eight games. ... Did I ... did I stutter? Eight games."

Ron Borges, Boston Herald: "First-ballot Hall of Famer? He may find he's not a first-ballot Hall of Famer."

Woody Paige, Denver Post: "Tom Brady should be suspended for a full year."

The takes are so hot, you have to hear them. Listen below:
