NightSide - What Happens To Greyhounds After The Track?

BOSTON (CBS) -Greyhounds are well known for their incredible speed, and are commonly used on the racing circuit, especially in southern states. But what happens to these dogs once they have "retired" from a career in racing? Groups like the Framingham-based Greyhound Project focus on raising awareness and helping these graceful creatures find homes, often in the northeastern part of the country. Michael McCann, a past president and current board member of The Greyhound Project, joins Dan in studio to talk about the work his group does and how others can get involved.

Originally broadcast April 22nd, 2015.
