Stop & Shop Recalls Select Jamba Home Smoothie Kit Products

BOSTON (CBS) - Following a recall by Inventure Foods, Inc., Stop & Shop Supermarket announced it removed from sale select Jamba at Home Smoothie kits due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, an uncommon but potentially fatal disease.

Symptoms include high fever, severe headaches, neck stiffness and nausea.

Customers who purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their receipts to a local Stop & Shop for a full refund.

Stop & Shop has received no reports of illnesses to date.
