BOSTON (CBS) – From famous bakeries to brand new shops, there are plenty of local spots to grab a delicious sandwich.

Firebrand Saints in Kendall Square in Cambridge is a high-energy eatery that serves a highly delicious “French Dip” sandwich, packed with slow-roasted beef sliced to order.

Since 1934, Virgilio’s Bakery in Gloucester has served top-notch sandwiches on hot bread that’s baked fresh every hour.

“All-Star Sandwich Bar” in Inman Square serves some of the region’s most creatively delicious sandwiches including their signature “Atomic Meatloaf Meltdown”.

There are also a couple of new sandwich chains in greater Boston. “Jimmy John’s” has opened stores in South Boston and Brighton, and “Which Wich” is now open at Assembly Row in Somerville.
