Daily Talker: Star Power For Olympics

There are some big names on a new 30-member board of directors looking to re-energize Boston's pursuit of the 2024 Olympic Games.  The list is a who's-who of Boston sports heroes.

David Ortiz, Jo Jo White, Larry Bird, and Meb Keflezighi are among the names.

The announcement of the board comes after months of Boston's Olympic movement coming under increasing criticism.  Ortiz and Bird are names that Boston 2024 hopes may sway voters in their favor in time for next November's referendum.

A recent poll shows 43% supported the Boston bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics while 46% were opposed.
