Wednesday's Child: 16-Year-Old James

BOSTON (CBS) - James describes himself as an outspoken, creative and funny 16-year-old boy of Caucasian and Hispanic descent.

Because James is so outgoing, he would do well in a family that is adventurous, like to travel and do things together as a family.

He says that one of the things that he is most proud of is his ability to be true to himself.

James enjoys spending time with others and shows genuine care and concern for the people closest to him. He is a good communicator and has expressed the desire to attend college someday.

He might like to become a singer, actor or an hair stylist.

James is generally compliant and meets expectations at his current home.

In school, James also meets academic standards for his grade level and excels when in smaller settings.

James has said that he is working hard to turn his life around, and he is proud of his efforts.

Continued community support would help James to maintain the progress he has been making.

Legally freed for adoption, James is seeking a caring, trustworthy family that will be there for him.

James tends to get along better with females and would prefer having a mom in the home. He will also need a family that will be open to communication with his biological family.

To learn more about James, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
