New England Patriots' 2015 Schedule Released: Steelers Visit Gillette For Week 1

BOSTON (CBS) -- After a Super Bowl victory in February, Patriots fans can hardly wait for the 2015 season to begin. While they still have more than four months left to wait, they at least know exactly what they have to look forward to.

The NFL released the 2015 schedule on Tuesday night, and -- no surprise -- the Patriots will be kicking off the NFL season at home on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The Patriots will host the Pittsburgh Steelers after their Super Bowl banner raising on opening night at Gillette.

Other highlights include an AFC Championship Game/DeflateGate rematch in Indianapolis in Week 6, a visit to Vince Wilfork and the Texans in Week 14, a Super Bowl XXXIX rematch against the Eagles in Week 13, and a trip to Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5.

Being a Super Bowl champion brings with it plenty of attention, as the Pats are scheduled to play in five primetime games. That includes a tough stretch in Weeks 11 and 12, when they host Buffalo on a Monday night and then travel to Denver on the following Sunday night.

The complete 2015 schedule is below. Home games are in bold.

Beyond the regular-season schedule, Super Bowl 50 is also set to be played on Feb. 7, 2016, in Santa Clara, Calif. Tom Brady has never played a game in the stadium of his hometown 49ers, which is something to keep in mind as the Patriots play out this season.
