NightSide - April Is Autism Awareness Month

BOSTON (CBS) - April is autism awareness month, so we thought we'd take some time tonight to talk about this scary and all-too-common disorder. The CDC estimates that autism affects one out of sixty-eight children in the United States, with boys almost five times more likely to be diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dan is joined in studio by Vincent Strully, CEO and founder of the New England Center for Children, and Lisel Macenka, chair of the NECC's board of directors. Do you have someone in your life that is dealing with a form of autism?

Originally broadcast April 15th, 2015.
