Police executed a search warrant at the Webster Street apartment of Jim Alizee, 25, around 9 p.m. Thursday.

Following a search, Alizee was arrested and charged with possession of a Class B substance with the intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of Class C drugs and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Alizee, who was held without bail, had previously been stopped while driving a car registered to 27-year-old Amanda Roche, who also lives at the apartment.

Roche, a Haverhill Public Schools teacher, was also arrested following the search of the residence.

She was charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class C substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Police said they told Haverhill school officials about Roche's arrest, and she will be placed on administrative leave pending further review.

During her arraignment on Friday, Roche pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Prosecutors say Alizee, not Roche, was the target of the investigation. They added that Roche has no prior record.

A judge ordered her to stay drug and alcohol free, adding that she would be subject to random drug screenings.

She was released on $500 bail. Her next court date is May 7.

Alizee was ordered to stay drug and alcohol free, and his cash bail was set at $3,000.

He is slated to return to court on May 7.
