After stopped the truck, the driver and passengers were accosted and restrained by at least two armed men who pulled up in a white van, introduced themselves as “policia” and placed traffic cones near the truck.

The men, who spoke in Spanish, led the men into the woods. The suspects entered the tractor-trailer, stole about $4.9 million in gold bars and drove away.
