Wednesday's Child: 15-Year-Old Kim

BOSTON (CBS) – Kim is an outgoing 15-year-old Latina young lady who has a big heart and a smile to match.

She uses her friendly personality to engage you in conversation and relates well to both adults and her peers. Kim enjoys outdoor activities and watching movies. Her favorite sports are field hockey and lacrosse. She is well behaved both in school and in her foster home, where she enjoys her friends and being around the adults in her life. Kim does well in school and has made remarkable gains academically. History is currently her favorite subject.

Kim would do great in any family constellation being the youngest or only child. Legally freed for adoption, a family would need to be willing to help Kim maintain contact with her birth parents, through an open adoption agreement, as well as with her older brother. Kim will bring a lot of joy to a loving family who could help her continue on a positive path and support her in pursuing her dreams and reaching her potential.

To learn more about Kim, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
