NightSide - New Bike Lanes On Commonwealth Ave?

BOSTON (CBS) - The city of Boston announced last night that new protected bike lanes will be installed on Commonwealth Ave, from about the B.U. bridge to Packard's Corner. The project will result in seventy-three parking meters being removed in order to make enough room for the new lanes, and not everyone is thrilled with this plan. By removing these meters, the city is potentially losing out on more than three hundred thousand dollars annually. What do you think of the plan? Is the loss of revenue worth it to make the roads safer for all to use? Or is now the wrong time to be eliminating income sources, no matter how big or small.

Originally broadcast March 25th, 2015.
