New Lottery Ticket Offers Chance To Win Seats At Every TD Garden Event For 1 Year
BOSTON (CBS) -- A new lottery ticket in Massachusetts is offering a lot more than cash.
The Ultimate Garden Party ticket, which goes on sale for $5 on Tuesday, gives players the chance "to win exclusive access to every single ticketed event held at the TD Garden for an entire year," according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.
There are four instant prizes of $250,000 on the ticket, and 1.8 million instant prizes between $5 and $10,000.
If players don't win an instant cash prize, they can then enter their non-winning tickets in the "Second Chance Drawings" for four shots at winning an "All Access Garden Party Pass."
That pass "includes two premier seats to each ticketed event held at the TD Garden for one full year (all regular season and postseason professional and amateur sporting events, concerts, circus and family shows and more), one premium parking space for each event and $25,000 in cash."
Other prizes offered in the Second Chance Drawings include seats at a selection of TD Garden events, behind-the-scenes tours of the venue and cash.
For a limited time, you don't even need to buy a lottery ticket to win a TD Garden prize.
The Lottery is asking fans to describe what their "ultimate dream experience" at the TD Garden would look like.
"While every component of their dream might not be able to be fulfilled, one person will be chosen to win a TD Garden experience that is related to their Ultimate Garden Party Dream," the Lottery said.
Entries submitted to ugpdream@masslottery.com are being accepted through April 7 at 5 p.m.
The new ticket is expected to raise $6.4 million for Massachusetts cities and towns, the Lottery said.
