Keefe's Quickies: Not Looking Forward To Bradley Fletcher

BOSTON (CBS) -  98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Keefe, in for Adam Jones, started Wednesday night's show with another round of Keefe's Quickies.

Rich goes through the top stories of the day for the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox in rapid fire fashion.

"They replaced [Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner] with the next best thing: Bradley Fletcher and Robert McClain.

"Bradley Fletcher, I tried to do my best to reach out and get a scouting report on Fletcher. A good friend of mine is an Eagles fan, and said he gets burnt all the time. Double moves, deep balls -- he cannot stop it. Our assistant producer Jeremy Conley said his friend, when asked about Fletcher, sent him a picture of burnt toast. That's not something I'm looking forward to.

"We'll see how they use him, but I do not have very high hopes for Bradley Fletcher."

Are Bruins In Jeopardy Of Missing Playoffs?

"They have a four point lead as Ottawa wins again [Tuesday] night. They are 12-1-1 over their last 14 games, with that one regular loss coming to the Bruins. But they did not have The Hamburgular (Andrew Hammond) in net. The Bruins are in Ottawa [Thursday] night. Ottawa has a game in hand and are four points back, so here's the glass half empty approach: The Bruins lose in regulation [Thursday] night and they're only up two points, and if the Senators win their next game -- that game in hand -- they can be tied.

"I do think the Bruins make the playoffs, but Ottawa has come on like a house of fire."

Greg Hardy Signs With Cowboys

"I think we knew all along that Hardy was not a guy [the Patriots] would bring in here... There is just brutal stuff with this guy. And I'm not saying you need a team full of choir boys... but the Cowboys are rolling the dice with this one."

Rusney Castillo Won't Feel Bad Starting In Triple-A

"He's 27-years-old. How much longer are we going to wait for this guy? Sure, he could start in the minors, he could come up and be great. But the outfield still needs to work itself out a bit. Thats why I go back to John Farrell saying at the beginning of Spring Training that Shane Victorino is their starting right fielder. What if Castillo plays well, Mookie Betts has been playing well, and Hanley Ramirez is making all that money and will hit cleanup for this team. So why are we guaranteeing Shane Victorino a spot?

"So much has been put on the starting rotation, last night we talked about Koji Uehara hurting his hamstring, but what about the outfield?"

Jim Boeheim Stepping Down -- In Three Years

"What? When you read that today, that's an odd thing to say... To come out now and say three more years of this -- I don't like Syracuse. It's easy to root against them. Boeheim is a smug guy and I like to see him lose. But listen, in college basketball, if you're not cheating you're not trying. I just don't like the ones who pretend they're clean, and for awhile, people thought Jim Boeheim was doing it clean."

Colts Proposing A Whacky Rule Change

(The Colts submitted a proposal in which teams could go for a two point conversion, and if successful, could then attempt a field goal from midfield for an additional point)

"So it would be a 60-yard field goal for a ninth point? Why would they do that? That's not a sports talk caller calling in and saying, 'know what guys, I got it!'?

"I feel like that's going to be shut down quickly."
