FBI Agent: Shrapnel From Bombs Thrown At Watertown Police Found Block Away
BOSTON (AP) — An FBI agent testifying in the Boston Marathon trial says shrapnel from the explosives the bombers hurled at police days after the 2013 attacks was found up to a block away.

On Thursday, the agent testified that parts of a pipe bomb and pressure-cooker bomb were found on a residential street in Watertown after Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his older brother, Tamerlan, had a violent confrontation with police.
The agent says a circuit board and dead man's switch were found near the scene.
He says a dead man's switch is typically used to detonate an explosive device if the operator is unable to do so.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev could face the death penalty if convicted in his federal trial. Tamerlan died after the gunfight with police.
