Patriots Reportedly Interested In WR Percy Harvin
BOSTON (CBS) -- It is very likely that the New York Jets will cut ties with Percy Harvin, who is owed over $40 million over the next four seasons.
If Harvin finds himself on the free agent market this winter, the New England Patriots will reportedly make a run at the talented -- but often injured -- receiver and return man.
Harvin was traded to the Jets from the Seattle Seahawks last season for a conditional draft pick, and hauled in 29 passes for 350 yards and a touchdown in eight games.
Given his struggles with the Seahawks and Jets over the last two seasons, Harvin may be a cheaper alternative on the free agent market. Bill Belichick was interested in drafting Harvin out of Florida in 2009, when he was selected 22nd overall by the Minnesota Vikings.

He has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career, playing 16 games just once in his six-year career. Dating back to his college days, he has struggled with migraines.
In 68 career games, Harvin has 21 receiving touchdowns, five rushing touchdowns and five kickoff returns for a touchdown.
