Family Hoping To Locate Young Boy's Missing Birthday Presents

PEABODY (CBS) — Five-year-old Gage Desmond received plenty of presents for his birthday. But he didn't get the chance to take them home.

On Sunday, Gage was celebrating his birthday with friends at the Metrobowl in Peabody.

At some point during the birthday activities, all of the gifts he opened that day went missing.

"Right now I am still keeping the faith. I am overwhelmed they are misplaced," Gage's mother Jessica Fratoni said.

Everything is missing including birthday cards, Legos, action figures and gift cards. The family believes the gifts were not stolen but accidentally placed into the wrong car in the parking lot.

A friend of the family placed the gifts into a car that looked like Fratoni's Honda Pilot.

"We are hoping someone hasn't looked in the back seat yet and they will do the right thing," said Fratoni, who reported the incident to police.

On Monday an anonymous person donated a box of Legos to Gage.

"It's overwhelming. I can't thank this person enough," Fratoni said.

Gage is thankful and remains hopeful that his birthday gifts will be found.
