Police Looking For Endangered NH Infant, Fugitive Mother
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (CBS) - Portsmouth, New Hampshire police are looking for help finding an endangered infant and her mother who has an outstanding arrest warrant.
On Feb. 13, Portsmouth Family Court ordered Tabitha "Tabi" Rantanen, 24, to surrender custody of her four-month-old daughter Khalieyah Pitts pending an hearing.
When Rantanen learned of the order, she fled the state with the infant. The child was not abducted.
Police say Rantanen may be in the Greenfield, Mass. area.
The mother, described as being 5-foot-2-inches, 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, has an active felony warrant for interference with custody.
The infant is listed by the NCIC as an endangered child.
There is no known vehicle description currently available.
