Carl Stevens' Journal: A Poem For The Snow

BOSTON (CBS) - Snow, please go.
Please go, snow.
The show you throw is woe, oh snow.
Woe is snow. Snow is woe.
Freezing us from head to toe,
Caked in woe, encased in snow.
Too much to move, too cold to throw,
Just go snow, go.
Let the curtain fall on your tundra show,
Let the tropical winds of August blow,
Let the beaten people cry out "no!"
You are no longer welcomed, snow,
Just go. Just go, snow.
The weary face of grandpa Joe
Tells me all I need to know.
Each crevice plowed by winter's blow,
A woeful, cracked and burdened show.
We're tired, snow, you're fired, snow,
Just go, snow, just go.
As desired as bumps on the roads we know,
You need to know it's time to go.
It's time to go, snow. Just go.
Hop on the back of a griant crow.
Go somewhere else. Where? I don't know.
Just go snow. Just go.
Relieve us of your relentless blows,
The blows of endless blowing snow,
You are friendless, end this! End this!
Endless snow, just go.
Just go snow.
Please go, snow.
Please go.
