BOSTON (CBS) - As standardized tests have become more popular as a tool to measure the success of our schools, subjects like geography and civics have had to take a back seat to math, science, and English. But not everyone agrees that this is the right approach. Bridgewater State Professor Dr. James Hayes-Bohanan and Dr. Kathy Babini, Social Studies Coordinator for the Plymouth Public Schools, sit down with Dan to talk about the current state of geography in our schools, and why it is so important for our children moving forward.
