MBTA Makes Service Adjustments In Anticipation Of More Snow

BOSTON (CBS) - In anticipation of another round of snow early next week, the MBTA is making some adjustments to their regular service.

In order for MBTA crews to perform track maintenance and snow removal, the Red Line Ashmont Branch between JFK/UMass and Ashmont, as well as the the Orange Line between Oak Grove and Sullivan Station, will be replaced with shuttle buses on Saturday, February 7th.

The Red Line Braintree Branch between JFK/UMass and Braintree will be replaced by shuttle buses on Sunday, February 8th.

The MTA in New York has loaned the MBTA two jet-powered snow blowers to assist with snow removal efforts in the coming days.
