Logan Airport To Halt Flights After 7 p.m. Monday Due To Blizzard Of 2015

BOSTON (CBS/AP) -- Logan International Airport has said there will be no flights after 7 p.m. Monday and does not expect to resume flights until late Wednesday as the region braced for a blizzard.

"With a storm of this magnitude, it's our goal to keep everyone safe and to keep ahead of he storm," Ed Freni, the Massport aviation director said.

Airport officials are urging travelers to check with their airlines ahead of time.

Emergency agencies have said that traveling during the height of the storm may be impossible and even life-threatening.

Airlines canceled or delayed more than 4,000 flights into and out of East Coast airports on Monday.
