Patriots Blog: Pressure Shifts From Belichick To Brady In 'DeflateGate'

FOXBORO (CBS) -- Just to take you inside the media, after Bill Belichick's DeflateGate press conference, media members looking for a conspiracy said Bill threw Tom Brady under the bus.

Here's my question: What was he supposed to do?

Every quarterback I spoke to said that come game time, the footballs are their thing -- kind of like a pitcher and baseballs. They all like them a certain way.

There is no reason for coach to have any input on this.

Bill was telling the truth and given his past, I think he had to. After Spygate, the NFL doesn't need much reason to say "see ya."

So in being truthful, I guess he gave up how Brady prepares the ball for the game. I'm not sure he had a choice. He would have been lying if he said otherwise.

This will be interesting when Brady takes the podium later today. He will have to take most of the blame and move on.
