Brown, Bruschi, Law To Serve As Honorary Captains At AFC Championship Game

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patrtiots will play in their 11th AFC Championship game in franchise history on Sunday, and will welcome a few all-time greats back to help kick off the fun.

Ty Law, Tedy Bruschi and Troy Brown will all serve as honorary captains for New England's AFC title game against the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. The trio are the three most recent Patriots Hall of Famers, with Law getting enshrined this past September, Bruschi in 2013 and Brown and 2012.

"It is an honor to play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game in front of our home crowd," said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft. "We love that we are able to include three of our franchise's most popular players in the pregame ceremonies. I think our fans will really enjoy expressing their appreciation for all the success those three players represent. I am so glad they could each be here to help us in yet another quest to win a championship."

The trio is part of a rare group of three-time Super Bowl champions, winning titles in New England in 2001, 2003 and 2004. The Patriots honored 17 of their 22 three-time winners during halftime of New England's Week 9 win over the Denver Broncos earlier this season.
