Felger & Mazz: Joe Flacco Elevates In The Postseason

BOSTON (CBS) - Long gone are the days when 98.5 The Sports Hub's Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti referred to the Baltimore Ravens quarterback as "Joe Crappo" or "Joe Fluke-O."

Joe Flacco, in his eighth season in the league, is among the game's best -- maybe not in the regular season, but certainly in the postseason.

Felger & Mazz break down some numbers and explain why Joe Flacco has earned their respect as an NFL quarterback.

"He's 10-4 in the postseason. That is the fourth best record in NFL history for guys with 10 starts. He has a better career winning percentage in the postseason than [Tom] Brady," said Felger. "He's won his last five postseason games with 13 touchdowns and no interceptions. That's a good run."

Flacco's opponents in his last five postseason games? Steelers, 49ers, Patriots, Broncos and Colts. That's Ben Roethlisberger, Colin Kaepernick, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck -- not bad. He also took home the Super Bowl XLVII MVP award.

Joe Flacco is not somebody you'd draft in the first round of your fantasy league, but if he's your team's starting quarterback, then you're doing alright.

"This is a player that elevates. I used to think you couldn't win with a guy like this, but he's proven me wrong, and I think he's proven everybody wrong," said Felger.

Flacco takes his impressive postseason resume to Foxboro this Saturday, when his Ravens take on the Patriots at Gillette Stadium at 4:35pm.
