Man Shot And Killed Outside Bar In Worcester
WORCESTER (CBS) – A man was shot and killed outside a bar in Worcester Monday night.
Several shots were fired in a parking lot next to Smitty's Tavern on West Boylston Street at about 6:15 p.m.. Police found a man's body in the parking lot.
The victim's name is not being released.
No arrests have been made.
"It's not the type of bar where you'd expect this to happen," said Cathy Mezynski, who lives nearby. "I'm devastated."
Nearby Quinsigamond Community College was put into lock-down as a precaution.
The shooting is the city's seventh homicide this year.
