Daily Talker: Battle Over Christmas

The war over the holidays has reached a fever pitch in the town of Marshfield. It all began a few weeks ago when the Marshfield School Committee voted to keep the title of the district's vacation as holiday break, rather than Christmas break. Then, a group of Department of Public Works employees put up an electronic sign that read "Merry Christmas" but had to be taken down because the town said the sign did not meet certain guidelines. On Saturday, a town of pro-Merry Christmas supporters rallied at the corner of Route 3A and Route 139. One supporter told WBZ, "I feel like Christmas has been under attack lately. Politically correct people are taking over."

We want to know how you feel about the debate. Do you feel Christmas is under fire? Does the debate have you second-guessing whether you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?
