NightSide - A Menorah For Boston Public Library

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Public Library in Copley Square has decorated for the holiday season by hanging eleven oversized wreaths with big red bows.  Esther Weissman, a Boston resident, says the wreaths are beautiful, but would like a menorah displayed alongside these decorations.  The library's board of trustees has rejected her proposal, claiming that the wreaths are a secular symbol, not a religious one.  Esther joins NightSide tonight to discuss the issue.

Originally broadcast December 9th, 2014.
