Alden Park at Colony Place in Plymouth is a culinary oasis in a sea of retail spots. Specialties here include gouda-stuffed meatloaf and lobster mac and cheese.

Downtown Crossing's newest spot for creative seafood and steaks, Legal Crossing, is a trendy new spinoff from Legal Sea Foods.

Hungry shoppers can also check out the new Fugakyu at Market Street in Lynnfield, The Bancroft at 3rd Ave in Burlington and Earl's at Assembly Row in Somerville.
