Rondo, Kobe Spotted Having Breakfast Together In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- Kobe Bryant has made it known that he is a big fan of Rajon Rondo.

The future Hall of Fame shooting guard has said on a few different occasions that he would like to play alongside Rondo, and the two hold a mutual respect for each other after their two battles in the NBA Finals.

So it really shouldn't come as any surprise that the two fierce competitors on the court can enjoy a friendly meal off of it -- which they did Thursday morning in Boston.

The Lakers will take on the Celtics at the TD Garden Friday night, so Kobe and crew flew east early. That gave Bryant the opportunity to enjoy some breakfast with Rondo in Beacon Hill.

There's been no word if Rondo asked Kobe to pass him some salt (or anything on the table), and Bryant refused.

Of course, once the photos hit Twitter, trade rumors started to fly surrounding Rondo (a free agent after the season) and the 5-12 Lakers, who could certainly use a point guard. But for now, this appears to be just two friends (off the court) enjoying some bacon and eggs together.

The Celtics and Lakers of the 1980s would not approve.
