Daily Talker: Black Friday Frenzy

It's that time of the year. Thanksgiving dinner has been served and now people are turning their attention to Black Friday. Early-bird shoppers flock to malls nationwide---and of course here in our area---in search of the best deals. Thanksgiving shopping has come a long way. Just a few years ago when a few stores started opening late on the holiday, the move was met with resistance from workers and shoppers who believed the day should be sacred. But last year, more than dozen major retailers opened at some point on Thanksgiving evening. And this year, at least half of them - including Target, Macy's, Staples and J.C. Penney - opened earlier in the evening on the holiday. The Blue Laws in Massachusetts make it illegal for retail stores to open on Thanksgiving but there have been calls in recent years for that to be changed. How do you feel about stores opening earlier on Thanksgiving day rather than on actual Black Friday?
