NightSide - Travis Roy Is In Studio!

BOSTON (CBS) - Travis Roy's ice hockey career at Boston University lasted a grand total of eleven seconds. Just moments after taking the ice for the Terriers, Roy slid head first into the boards and cracked his fourth and fifth vertebra. The awkward hit tragically left him a quadriplegic, though he later regained movement in his right arm. Rather than allowing this life-altering experience to ruin him, Travis Roy has risen to the challenge and used his accident as a platform to do good. The Travis Roy Foundation is devoted to helping spinal cord injury victims and funding research for a cure. Don't miss Travis's inspirational story!

Originally broadcast November 24th, 2014.
